BLACKSTAFF MISSION AREA
(formerly INNER SOUTH BELFAST MISSION AREA)

St Mary Magdalene Parish Church belongs to the Church of Ireland, subscribes to the holy catholic church and is a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion. It is situated in Donegall Pass, close to the centre of the busy city of Belfast, Northern Ireland and is one of a few city centre churches still managing to exist in today’s climate where unfortunately, we see many inner city church doors having to close. Over this past year, we have been grouped together with the parishes of St Aidan (Sandy Row) and St Simon with St Philip (Donegall Road) to form the
Blackstaff Mission Area (formerly Inner South Belfast MIssion Area). It is hoped that this development will lead to further growth and expansion of the churches within the grouping. We are enjoying the opportunity to meet and worship together for certain services eg Christmas, Easter, Harvest etc. In addition, we offer a joint Holy Communion celebration on the first Sunday of each month. The current rota can be viewed by downloading the Monthly Newsheet.

Parishioners of this church consist of those who live in the surrounding area, and others who live outside the area but still have strong links with the Parish. Our mission is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ crucified, arisen and ascended, and dwelling with us through the power of the Holy Spirit. We hope you enjoy your visit to our church site and if you have any comments, we’d love to hear from you.
